my boy got the polymeter this kinda cool

definitely i would say something beneficial at this point would be working with filling up the frequency range i.e: get some more basses in there, get stuff in the high frequency range, etc. i sent u a dm on discord, id be down to voice call and show u a few ways u can improve ur music

Robianny responds:

Yo! sorry for late response, btw i didn't get any DMs as i believe. robianny#7594 it is. Also i can't get into a voice call thanks to the fact i am too broke to have a device to handle that lol. would love to hear from you

shawty got the sidechain wit no drums

i think u need some drums in there homie

Robianny responds:

me who knows no jackshit about music or music theory:

ilysian more like ilysm

Ilysian responds:

:)))

it's a little bit hard to hear the drums. the synths are good, but they fight for space with the drums. a good way to solve this is with sidechain, or basically making it so that the volume of the synths goes down for a bit when a drum plays

JMSy responds:

tnx yeh not mastered or eq'd it yet

Cool stuff but I think it would help if you added a sub bass in there, as the mix feels pretty empty without low basses.

klokyaj responds:

okay thank you for youre comment'

Dude this totally made me feel nostalgic, and I was born way after the 80s lmao. I love the bass at 0:40! I just wish that part lasted longer. Luckily, I got to enjoy the bass more at 2:10 on.

klokyaj responds:

happy you enjoyed it :D

I like this song! Good mix, nice chord progression, good instrumentation, and good vocals. The only thing I would suggest is to just turn the auto tune down a bit, as I think it makes it sound unnatural.

SoulSecure responds:

I used the atrocious amount of autotune for artistic effect lol
I updated the description to explain this.

It kind of sounds like there's a lot of stuff fighting for room here. If you look at the waveform, it's kind of smushed at the top, and you can hear that it's a little bit distorted. This means the stuff just be too loud. I would suggest bringing the levels down a bit, and working on EQ so that each sound has more of its own room and doesn't clash with other elements of the song.

However, even though the mix is quite loud, I still think the individual sounds are pretty nice, I like the chord progression, and it has a good melody. I think if you work on having more dynamic range and a better mix, it will be some REALLY good stuff.

AshuraTheHedgehog242 responds:

Thanks man! I appreciate it! More remixes are about to come your way so stay tuned!

Woah dude. Not only is the arrangement FIRE but the sounds you used are also really realistic. What software did you use for this?

CloakedSoup responds:

Thanks a ton! I used Reaper for my DAW when composing and mixing and FL Studio for mastering.

As for the instruments:
Hollywood Woodwinds Diamond edition for the winds
Hollywood Brass Diamond edition for the brass
Hollywood Percussion Diamond edition for the percussion
Hollywood Harp Diamond Edition for the harp
Ivy Piano in 162 for the piano
8DIO Lacrimosa for the choir
Cinematic Studio Strings for the strings
and finally, Keepforest's Evolution Dragon for the drone/ambience at around 2:20

bro.

first of all, wow. i got chills from this. second of all, what software did you use?

Daveisgr81 responds:

Yo! Thank you so much dude. I scored it all in Sibelius Ultimate with the NotePerformer sample pack. I exported all of the audio NotePerformer audio files and mixed then in Logic Pro X. All I did in Logic was add reverb, panning (which you can do in Sibelius), and a tiny, tiny bit of compression.
